  • European ZZR1200 meeting 2005

We have been talking about it in other topics but I think it is good to start a new topic just about this.
We like the idea about a European ZZR meeting. Started considering 2004 but found out that would not be so easy. So why not in 2005? That makes it possible for everybody who likes the idea to visit it.
But lots of questions have to be answered:
    • Where (in which country for a start)?
    • When?
    • Who will join?
    • Who will organise?
    • How long, a day, a weekend, a week?
    • Etc, etc.

I know it is very early, but I have to miss a lot this year because I planned already a lot of vacations with family and friends. I definitely don’t want to miss the European ZZR meeting 2005.

    What a great idea Paul,

We should have some input from the other European riders on this idea so c'mon Guys (and gals) ideas, opinions, etc

    For starters mine are .......

should be for a week eh? if we're gonna do it lets do it right?
is it exclusive to ZZR Riders or are others welcome along for the trip?
Should be in July or August, when hopefully the weather should be good
venue? see who's up for it and pick somewhere central so that distance wont be a barrier to participating?

    Just my tuppence worth?

      Me
Looks like it's you Paul (I'll help if you want me to)
      I'd prefer a long weekend
Accommodation would have to be fixed permanently to the ground with central heating. I don't do tents.

        Great Idea.

A few more ideas for the melting pot.

Would prefer late August early September

To be central to all, would suggest France, Paris or Reims area

Although a week sounds good why not do it as a long weekend, therefore some could use the days to and from to extend the holiday.

Hotel would be the better option.

To link up with a MotoGp would be great, but we would have to wait for the dates to be finallised before anything vcould be arranged and accommodation may be limited and at a premium. I think we ned to decide on a date, check amount of enthusiasm, and then find a destination.

Seems to have gone really quiet. Lack of interest? Using too many long words?

Maybe we should widen to discussion to other groups?

                  Is there anybody out there??????????????????????

Yep we're here. It's a long way off so this thread will lull. Glad somebody said the F word because France is the obvious choice. Could get the Italians to pop over the Alps and it would still be a good ride for the Netherlanders.

                            the Alps

Meet in the Alps .. nip down to Italy for the GP a stroll over to Piza to do the (im proping up the tower) Pic..... and a blast to Monoco to ride through the F1 tunnel.

Or just the Alps will do
Or ill just follow the bike in front ( as long as it aint PMB or Honda Blue)

Getting to the Alps in one day from Calais is a bit of a stretch even for the mighty Zed. It can be done but you would need to prepare for a long day in the saddle. Probably be worth it though.
