Now that's an interesting proposition. Maybe give them a week of testing to get familiar with each bikes characteristics.

        $10 it is then
I have neither the time,or the inclination, to explain myself to a man, who rises and sleep under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide, and then questions the manner, in which I provide it. I'd rather you just say 'thank you' and go on your way.

Kory, there are THREE races now with new ten lap "SuperPole Race" they added for Sunday morning. I will assume you want to apply this order for that race as well unless I hear otherwise.

                  Good luck!

BTW, FP3 is at 9PM PDT tonite, and Superpole is at 11:00. I will probably pick after we see what happens there... the Ducati continues to demonstrate a big HP/MPH advantage though...

Welp, that shows just how out of the loop I am. I follow along with the results, but haven't seen a fully World SBK race in a few years now, really since Sykes was the man. My cable provider doesn't have BIEN and I'd pop for the subscription, but know I don't have the time to watch it. I'll probably drop out and retire to the paddock early this season, who knows.

But yes, I'll keep those picks for all races for this weekend.

Okay, I just watched Super Pole, same results as FP3... who am I to argue?

                        Race 1
                        1. Bautista ( He of the 7 mph top end advantage)
                        2. Jonny (Please can I have more RPM's?)
                        3. Lowes (fastest Yamaha of the bunch)

I'm actually able to put picks up this week, my picks for the first race are

                          1. Bautista
                          2. Rae
                          3. Lows

I know for a fact that my dad is doing the same picks, but seriously, it just makes sense when you look at the results.

A tale of two new factory bikes...

Alvaro Bautista's new V4 Ducati Panigale turned in a top speed of 314 KPH in Superpole.
Tom Sykes' new factory BMW S1000 turned in a top speed of 296 KPH in Superpole
That is an 11 mph spread, and speaks to something like a 25 HP advantage, according to my admittedly faulty memory about such things.
Supposedly Dorna's RPM limiting rules are intended to reduce such disparities. They worked to bring the Yamaha and the old Ducati into competition with the Kawasaki the last two years- Rea won his last two titles on talent and good bike set-up, not a power advantage (IMO).

I believe that Dorna is supposed to review and re-set rev limits after the first three races. I am sure the whole paddock will be on the edge of their seats to see if Dorna actually reins in the Ducati and gives BMW some help. If those things don't happen, there is going to be a lot of unhappiness in the WSBK paddock.
