I was going to wait until next month to trot this out …

Happy (early) 60th birthday to me

    From a friend I got a deal I couldn’t refuse on a ZX14R. 20,205 miles, bone stock, number 99 of 300.

Ha! Happy birthday to you Chris! Even if early. The story continues and don't blame you for snagging a good one before they are gone. Never seen that colour scheme before either? Looks classy!

I have neither the time,or the inclination, to explain myself to a man, who rises and sleep under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide, and then questions the manner, in which I provide it. I'd rather you just say 'thank you' and go on your way.

Very cool. I really want one of those but too many other things going on right now.
You have 2 really nice choices.

.. and Congratulations for owning such great pieces of mechanical technology.

While the elite pushes for ecological transition and electric engines, I enjoy the power of a 1200cc 4 strokes engine fed by 4 x 40mm. carburetors.

Thanks guys. The Akrapovics that I want are on the drawing board, but not - yet - in the budget. I still have insurance sticker shock.

                    We will see what happens.

I'm interested in other slip-on options with stainless packing if you have suggestions.

                    No 4-into-1s or full systems.

That's a good lookin' bike, Greg

I remember it from our 2015 Idaho ride.

                          Farkle to do list:

                          Center stand
                          Radiator screen
                          Crash protectors
                          Strap-on tank bag
Givi top case bracket (already have the case)
                          ECU flash
                          Slip-ons
And somdeday ... an Ohlins TTX39

                          Any advice appreciated.

Congrats on the new ride and the upcoming 60th. I like buying bikes the same way, low mileage, well cared for and with a significantly depreciated price from new. That's a great looking ride. Here's wishing you many happy miles together.

Thanks Dave. As far as aging well with 200+ horsepower on tap, you are my inspiration
