  • ZZR1200 petcock knob went missing

Currently on a road trip in the Black Hills of South Dakota and noticed that the selector knob for the petcock decided to liberate itself. 'See ya, loser' is what I imagine it said when it flew off

Anyway, I'm short pitting the bike till I figure out how to get down in there to turn the selector to 'Reserve.' Luckily I'm averaging high 40mpg's.

Any suggestions for what will reach in there and fit over the petcock to turn it? My smallest socket is an 8mm. And it's too big. I'm planning on stopping into the hardware store to hopefully figure out a temporary solution. Any suggestions welcome!

Just pulled my selector knob off and am able to turn the shaft with needle nose pliers. Full clockwise is reserve. Hope this helps!

That helps very much. Thank you. My needle nose were a bit short but surely the local Ace Hardware has what I'll need. Full clockwise is very helpful as well
