  • STOLEN - A Pretty Blue Zed

    STOLEN:

A few days ago I got a call about my storage units – the ones where I keep my 2002 ZZR1200 and most of the ZZR parts I have accumulated. My ZZR1200 was stolen in addition to some tools. All the parts were left alone. Several other units were also broken into.

I met with the sheriff last night and hope they catch the meth-addled junkies who stole her.

I bought this bike new in the crate in May 2002. She carried me 112,000 miles to the following national parks – Great Smoky Mountains (x2), Big Bend (x2), Everglades, Shenandoah, Arches (x2), Canyonlands (x2), Capitol Reef (x2), Bryce Canyon (x2), Zion (x2), Grand Canyon (x2), Rocky Mountain, Mesa Verde, Grand Teton, Yellowstone, Glacier, Lassen Volcanic, Sequoia, Kings Canyon, Yosemite, & Death Valley – without a hiccup, a complaint, or a problem.

I totaled her on a wet road in Arkansas in 2011 while not paying attention.

She was my ticket to the best times I have ever had, including some of the best friends of my life.

I always intended to return her to like-new condition after I found a few more parts.

Please keep your eyes peeled for her or her parts on craigslist, ebay, etc. She was a custom color and shouldn’t be hard to spot.

I started calling her the Combat Zed because she had so many rock chips, but she was the prettiest bike ever.

I have dreams about my bikes being stolen and the horrifying filling till I woke up.
I can not imagine the real feeling and loss in your gut.
I'm so sorry and will keep and eye out.

You bought that about 3 weeks after I got mine if I remember
the conversation correct. This news just pisses me off.
Good luck and let us know news, when you know it.

                    I agree with Jeff

That just sucks, Chris. I hope you are able to get it back with justice served.

                      Damn Chris!

                      Hate to hear it Brother.

Hope they find the cocksuckers that stole it!

Worst case maybe get the bike back.

                      Man, this pisses me off

I have neither the time,or the inclination, to explain myself to a man, who rises and sleep under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide, and then questions the manner, in which I provide it. I'd rather you just say 'thank you' and go on your way.

Manchester UK is bike theft world. Had 2 gone over time. They get a slap on the hand from the courts. Police don't even attend. You get a crime number over the phone, for the insurance. Thing is if you get it back wrecked you don't get the full amount from the insurance. And the next premium goes up! It's all wrong over here

                              2. To settle on the most beneficial answer to any question, repeat to yourself:
                              (a) I loved my father and my mother, but my father a little bit more.
                              (b) I like things pretty well the way they are.
                              (c) I never worry much about anything.
                              (d) I don't care for books or music much.
                              (e) I love my wife and children.
                              (f) I don't let them get in the way of company work.
