  • RIP, zzrcyclone

With a heavy heart I share the news that one of our brethren, zzrcyclone, Blair Barclay, passed on this weekend.

A football player for Iowa State, Blair then made his way in the world of finance before retiring a few years ago. He was active on this site in earlier years and since he lived in Dallas Fort Worth we got together for rides or a meal periodically. A man of ready humor he will be missed by All who knew him.

I learned if his passing just now through a post by his daughter on Facebook.

    RIP Blair.

      Sorry to hear that Chris.

I have neither the time,or the inclination, to explain myself to a man, who rises and sleep under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide, and then questions the manner, in which I provide it. I'd rather you just say 'thank you' and go on your way.

Hey Chris: im sorry to hear of the loss of your friend and a member of the ZZR community. As I get older it becomes much more apparent none of us gets out alive. As one of my closest friends who recently passed from terminal brain cancer often said: “We are all born terminal.”

Sorry to hear that. We've been lucky recently on that front.
