  • Lee's in Redding, CA

On our recently concluded CA motorcycle trip, it was clear that both James' FJR and Mike's Connie14 would need new tires before the trip was through. Once we arrived at Mt Shasta, Mike's rear had less than 1000 miles left on it, as did James' front.

Redding CA looked like the best opportunity to get tires since we wanted to avoid Sacramento and Fresno.

A local recommended Lee's Honda Kawasaki & Polaris.

Not only did they set Mike & James up with new tires at reasonable prices (some dealers really stick it to you and then make you wait if you're from out-of-town) but they installed them right away. We were out of there in about 1-1.5 hrs.

Not only that, but their service manager, Tim Fleig, was fantastic. A 919 rider himself (with zero chicken strips), he spent over half an hour with us looking at maps and recommending roads, including 70 going over the Sierras (sweeper heaven!).

    Their info. is:

    Lee's Honda Kawasaki & Polaris
    2230 Larkspur Lane
    Redding, CA, 96002
    800/542-9697

I like to plug dealers that help us on trips, so I bought a Lee's shirt, which I'll wear on trips to come.

    Good work, Lee's, and thanks!!

Thanks for the good words on Lee's. It is always good to know where one can find repair assistance while out on the road.

I've been to lee's, they were very hospitable to me when I was looking for a Zed.

My Zed came from Lee's and I buy all my gear and such from them as well. Tim is a great guy as well as Jason in the Parts dept. I recently returned a helmet to them that was showing hairline cracks in several places even though I've never dropped it. I'd had it for several months and had lost the receipt but they gave me full store credit and ordered another helmet for me with no hassle whatsoever! Really good people!

              Re: Lee's in Redding, CA

I know this is an old thread but I ran across it and wanted to put my two cents worth for lees. Several years ago I was traveling through Redding and was in need of a rear tire, Lees was open on Monday, they put the tire on right away and were very friendly.
