  • Are we still pulling wings off of flies?

Or, as I thought I read a (long) while back, will a re-flash of the ZX14R ECU re-program the bike so that the flies stay open all the time?

Lots of options, contact Guhl directly for options...here's an interesting post by a satisfied customer with the secondary flies opening at 3200RPM.

      Thanks Bill.

This answers the question. Good thing a re-flash will do it; when I pulled the flies on my Connie I messed up some of the screws and re-installing them would have been a bitch- I sold it without them, they are still in my shop. I would not do that with the ZX14R, good way to get sued!

And did you say that guy was "satisfied" or "terrified"?

I have only got a few hundred miles on the bike so far, too much rain and work to do. But I did run it up to 9,000 in a few gears last time, which was good for over 140 very quickly. As you know, this thing is just stupid fast... gonna take me a while to adjust to it and then start desiring the re-flash...

yep,it's stupid fast right out of the crate...I'm debating on whether or not to buy a 2012... the first mod that I did on my '06 was my radar detector setup!
