I have found a guy with an older model (same model year as my zzr) zx6 with a corbin seat and is willing to trade straight up for my oem seat on my 1100. Are the bikes that different, that the idea is a proposterous as the question?

If the ZX6 and the ZZR 600 are the same year, they are different. The ZX6 was superceded by a newer machine with the same name and became the ZZR 600 at some point.
