  • are jets needed with slipons?

hello, new to the site.. i have a 06 t-rex which has a zzr1200 motor in it, i want to do a set of slip ons and am wandering if jets are needed and if so what size is recommended? i herd the pilot jets have a cap and need to be drilled out .. do they even need to be messed with for just slipons even? any info you guys can give on making a few more hp with this motor would be great as theres not many forums out there for t-rex's.. but the zzr1200 is still the powerplant so figure you guys can shed some light. thanks..

wont need jets, probably wont need to do anything, but usually adjust mixture screws by the removing the plugs like you wrote - and set them 2 turns out. Then add 1 .020" shim (washer) under the needles. You can get the washers from radio shack.
