At this week's pre-season WSBK Test at Phillip Island (where the WSBk Season begins on Sunday) Tom Sykes set the fast time on his factory Kawasaki. Reigning champ Carlos Checa was right behind him.

I dont think at this point Kawi is real serious about their RRing. I think if they really wanted to be competative they would hire the best talent and spend some money. Clearly the Moto cross side of things has been great....

Guess they figure that they sell enough "spport" bikes that they don't have to worry about how they do in road racing.

Yeah not sure what is going on internally....I had real hopes when they put out the new ZX10 that we would see them in MotoGP....

i think the CRT rules prohibit the factories from using one of their production motors, but maybe some enterprising private team will think the 10R mill is feasible.
