    barely legal?

this is the only way i can figure to get the camper and the bikes up to the mountains at the same time.
im concerned about the legality of this rig in ga. and surrounding states.
    internet searches give conflicting info.
all agree im ok on the interstate in all states but on secondary roads it get sticky.
as far as ga. goes i can find no prohibitions in the state code so long as i dont exceed 65 feet and have brakes for any unit over 2k lbs.
s.c. is a definite no no.

any of you folks have any firsthand experience with this kind of setup?

    Re: barely legal?

I see hunters, campers, and fishermen frequently around here that do the same thing...truck pulling camper pulling atv trailer or boat. Apparently it's legal...at least around here. Also, a lot of camper trailers already have a ball on the back bumper so to me that would encourage towing something else?

I'd sure hate to back it up!

I have an old friend who tows his bass boat behind his 5th-wheel camper all the time. As long as all the lights are hooked up and working and everything has plates, I don't think the law can hassle you.

You'd be good to go in Montana...
You do however have to pass a test whereby you must be able to back all of that up a 1/4 mile fairly steep windy road after beer-bonging a 6-pack.

I'd never want to drive that nightmare... admire your guts.

Anyway, at least consider a drop hitch so the bike trailer is more level.
How To Cheat on Personality Tests
    1. When asked for word associations or comments about the world, give the most conventional, run-of-the-mill, pedestrian answer possible.

    2. To settle on the most beneficial answer to any question, repeat to yourself:
    (a) I loved my father and my mother, but my father a little bit more.
    (b) I like things pretty well the way they are.
    (c) I never worry much about anything.
    (d) I don't care for books or music much.
    (e) I love my wife and children.
    (f) I don't let them get in the way of company work.

the long overhang on the camper makes it likely that the hitch may drag the ground if it were much lower. im sort of concerned about it as it is now.
im definitely gonna be cautious over uneven terrain.

when i pull the trailer behind my pickup it is on about the same angle and i dont have any issues. besides it makes it easy to unload since the rear of the trailer is lower.
