    Good read. Thank you. Think I'll look into purchasing a more 'disposable' gun than the 357 Magnum my grandfather gave me.

    If it has sentimental value, IMO, it's better to keep it in the safe and shoot it on range days.
    Carry something reliable that won't be a heartbreak to lose.

    I definitely would not carry a cheap gun just because there's a small chance I might lose it.
