If I'm not mistaken that's the Snappy Lunch in Mount Airy, NC. That's where my mother's family is from. My Grandad ran the hardware store (Courrier-Withers) and they used to have a house there until they moved full-time up to the Blue Ridge Mountains near Fancy Gap. I have a real soft spot in my heart for that area and have a soft spot in my stomach for country ham.

Yep and the view at FancyGap looking down on the valley below is awesome!
I've got some kin in Mt.Airy too. Beautiful country.

Too late now, but there is a back way between Fancy Gap and Mt Airy that has some great twisties. 52(?) ain't bad but I would love to ride that little side road which goes down into the valley just west of 52.

It's even a longer way from here in Oregon.
