Re: texas hill country rally?
I've had the pleasure of following CT. He and some of his compadres came out to Kalifornia a few years back. We were on a stretch of highway near the gold country, we found this road that was phenomenal. When we got done with it (and waited about 5 minutes for the Hondas) the mutual feeling was "video game" and we wanted to ride it again.
Yes, Jimmie, he is that good.
Riding in TX again would be good, as long as we ended up at that BBQ again

Ain't no right way to do the wrong thing.
If we ride faster, we won't be lost for as long.

Re: texas hill country rally?
Whenever you girls want to meander down and stink up the place.
My shop is ready for emergency repairs. I'll have at least one fresh set of tires on hand. The roads are in good shape. I can provide maps directions, advice, etc. on several rides of varying lengths, intensities, and characters. It is impossible to ride all the worthwhile roads in just one weekend, so you'll be like the dog with the bone.
With our awful drought, you can be pretty well sure of a rain-free visit. Temperature wise, March-May should be right nice. I ride in the summer heat, but wouldn't expect everyone to be so tolerant.
I'll even have at least one loaner bike for anyone who, for example, flies in from afar. (and if you ask real nice, I'll even pick you up at the San Antonio airport)
C'mon down, pilgrims. I rode 500+ miles last week... wearing my mesh jacket. How To Cheat on Personality Tests

Re: texas hill country rally?
Just putting it out there for later.
I'm going to try and do a Texas Rally in 2013 to coincide with the inaugural Texas Moto GP.
Just depends on the date they set for the GP.
I've been wanting to ride with the Texans for several years and figured I could kill two birds with one stone.
Sorry for the thread jack but just some food for next year
Can't make it this year
