    Re: Motorcycle shop **New pics**

So after a few weeks of working on the bike up on the stand I am kicking myself for not building it years ago......Its not high tech but for about $50 and 1 hour of labor it works great......

How do you get the bike on and off the bench?

    A ramp?

I guess you just clutch it up?

    Re: Motorcycle shop **New pics**

So I had a request for a materials list and some specs on the bike stand...

1- 4x8 sheet of 1"1/4 tongue and groove
    1- 4x4x8'
    2- 2x4x10'
    deck screws 3"

I made the table size easy to match the materials. Rip the 4x8 1" 1/4 in half for the 24" width and then shorten it to 7'. I shortened it only to make it a more manageable size.8' would work fine. The 4x4 is cut into 6-16" legs. The legs were notched on two sides to fit the 2x4's. The 2x4's are cut down to 7" for the sides and the left over pieces to 2" to cap the ends. Any left over 2x4 pieces made a easy wheel chock. Screw it all together and your done.

I had all the materials left over from other projects so anything you have similar will work. I think I have about 1 hour and a half of labor into this thing. I have welded on it, ran the bike on it, had the bike on and off a couple of times and even stood on it with the bike. Zero problems.

This height works perfect for you to sit on a roll around stool and work on the bottom of the bike. You can also stand up and still reach anything on top of the bike.
