Tex's Embassy Ride 2012, 50yo Ride, (and 2West12 unless someone else gets on it!)

Here it is, y'all. Cherie and I really really really want to host a big ride at our new place outside of Spokane, WA next year. Although we still haven't finalized our purchase of this home, it's just too perfect a motorcycle rally spot to pass up. The property could be a motorcycle campground as is - plenty of good roads, lots of tent space in the front yard, built in fire pit in the back, tons of safe parking for the bikes - what's not to like?!!! So we decided to bet that the home purchase will go through, and just go ahead and start planning for our first ride at the unofficial Embassy of the Republic of Texas to the Washington Territories.

Since we're a bit far from many people's usual riding spots, we wanted to get it on everybody's radar early so they could try to plan for it. Therefore, here's the announcement -

the 2012 Tex's Embassy Ride (and 2West12?) is now being planned for Thursday - Sunday, June 21-24, 2012!!! HOLD THE DATE!!!

Mark your calendars now, get the time off, and come see Connor and the rest of us (and go riding, too)!!!

Cool Tex, I will put her down! Might want to plan a day ride for this event, north up 395 and west on Highway 20 over to Republic (where I have a cabin on Curlew Lake) and then down throught the res towards Coulee dam. There are some cool roads!

There's wide open spaces, mountains, I have found one road that reminds me a lot of CA25; and I haven't even gotten to go riding yet! I'm sure Brian and puff will chime in to help identify the right roads! Please plan on making it up here!!!
