Other than Bikes - What are your Hobbies?

I know I've read about many of your various hobbies and have seen some real talent/skills.

Mine is Music - Played Cornet with the Sally Ann from the age of 5 to 14 - Got my Grade 8,
went on to play Trumpet/Flugelhorn/horn/French horn/tuba,, Basically anything with 3 valves..

At about 16 I changed to writing music on PC's, went on to Mixing, DJ'd a few clubs and now have a "mini Studio"
at the top of the Garden
My mixing is mainly on PC now- the Decks don't get any use unless we've got a party going! Then EVERYONES a DJ

Writing takes the longest - Months!
Mixing , and I can chuck 1.5 hours together in about 3 weeks (Hours here and there).
The bonus is that I then spend my time riding bikes; listening to the Tunes

My fav is Funky House - 120 BPM, on the bike its quick enough for the fun bits and steady enough not to run away with myself

So what are you into?

Like you I'm also a bit of a music junkie, I'm the guy who hangs out with a bunch of musicians (drummer). The band finished recording our 5th studio release and once the mixing and mastering is done we hope to have a release date this fall or winter.

I also spend a fair amount of time in the gym, picking up heavy things and then putting them back down. Closely related is my interest in sports nutrition and healthy cooking/eating.

I'm also a certified gun nut, spend my spare time reloading ammo then on weekends I shoot it. (Seems almost as pointless as weightlifting huh?)

Every once in a while I find time to ride one of the bikes.

Mine is hill walking, used to do it seriously when I was younger , pennine way , lakes ect. Just got back into it this year. Working for myself I get odd days off in the week so this is when I take off, redoing the pennine way at the moment 1 day at a time lol . Sundays we ride , thats all I have time for.
Oh , im writing a book at the moment , 20,000 words into 100,000 word book

lovely as it is - down near the coast it's quite flat..

They were big in the 80's/90's - still going from what I hear..

Love hearing Drummers "Bounce off" each other.

Of course the Joke with Musicians is that they have no sense of timing.. But trust me Some do!

I took up reading history in 3rd grade and never stopped. Get me near a used bookstore and I'll empty my wallet. With a book on Mehmet II, JEB Stuart, or Scipio Africanus I'll be happy for days.
