      Re: SOLD - Moto's '08 C-14 F/S in NorCal - SOLD

Hey Again Folks, site has been busy I guess and wouldn't let me log on earlier.
Made it home around 4:30pm Central today and was pretty whuped from the heat and distance the last two days.
Dave,I was getting around 160/70/80 to a tank(depending on current speeds),turned in for fuel at 50/60 miles left usually because of the Desert or the Mountains or my tired condition! When I started seeing lots of LEO here in Texas it climbed into the 200's.
I called the bike the bomb as in slang "Da Bomb",goodness, cool, sweet, ect.
It's "The Ghost" for it's seeming ability to remain unseen by LEO as I blasted East on my journey.
I had a couple of "Oh Sh*t" encounters,no time to scrub speed and they just looked either thru me un-seeing or couldn't believe I was running that hard there. Couple of other times I got to the brakes(what brakes!)and pinched hard enough that I know they saw the nose dive and still never gave chase. Moto has Modded a great bike to perform even better and I'm the lucky new owner. More to tell over some beers!
I guess Casper has a stable mate, Ghost.

      I am currently bikeless. But I don't want a C-14.

I might not even buy another bike. The only thing I like is high performance canyon carvers, and with the new federal CDL laws I'm putting my job on the line ever time I ride.

1 citation for 15mph over is Reckless Driving and would be the end of my career. Since I can no longer "mask" citations (keep them off my record, thanks to the Feds) I'm basically screwed. You know how easy it is to go 15 over on any bike.

The only line of work I'm interested in besides driving and operating heavy equipment would be Law Enforcement. I have several friends who are LEO's and they seem to be the people I get along with the best.
But would you be forced to give yourself a ticket?

haha Shotgun...interesting name..Ghost. Along with a bike named Casper, you must have an affinity for apparitional experiences. <chuckle>

Glad to hear you're home and had a good ride. When you called me asking if the cases were waterproof...I had visions of Katrina type floods. Good to hear the cases held up well and floated you to safety. <grin>

Sorry I've been immensely sidetracked these past few days...the box will ship Monday. Thanks for taking Ghost into your care...I'm sure she will be happy :P Be sure to give me a call anytime...since the phone support plan is good for another year or two or three. <cheers>

      Again,Thank You Moto.
(this guy met me at the airport,on time, with a burger/fries and a cold drink!)
(bike completley ready to ride to South America if needed)(What a Guy.)

FYI,The Missus got her first ride today, took her to breakfast over in Gainesville,Tx.,took the favs. back, put just a little over 200 miles on and still beat the real heat. Lois is another happy camper. Lots more room,Givi to lean back on and no frenetic vibes from the engine room. I've got some miles to put on 2 up on this thing as it's alot more top heavy than I'm used to and Baby ain't no 90lb. waif. Had a couple of "Come'ere" moments stopping ect.,just a tad to much lean deal. Glad I still have a little ass left! We'll get used to it. I'll be in touch but won't hassle, you got alot going on. God Bless.
