As the summer wanes on, more ZZR Rallies are upon us to welcome the cooler months. At the end of August, two rallies will help you beat the heat:
East Tennessee Rally & Ride and
Texas Nina Rally. The Tennessee Rally & Ride is planned by our long time member but often a lurker,
sillyhillbilly. The rally starts August 20th, and is set for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so you weekend riders that can't get time off work (or your wife

) can easily attend this one. Highway 116, 58, and 85 are some of the routes that will be taken.
About a week later, the
Texas Nina Rally kicks off, in memory of Merle's (
quickaw) daughter, Nina. The rally lasts three days, starting August 27th, and will include fantastic bbq, twisting roads, and soulful retrospection.
As the summer months come to a final close and autumn welcomes you with open arms, arguably the most popular of all rallies begins:
T.W.O. ZZR Rally! No, I'm not biased. This rally needs no introduction! In it's seventh year, this is one of the longest running rallies of the site, and for good reason: wrecks every year!

(in no particular order: sorry Pete, Mike, Billy, Greg, Pete (again

), Mike (again, for good measure

)

Anyone I miss?
The rally is headed by one of our resident ZX-14 owners, Chris (
cheeser). Groups are loosely defined before the rally starts, so be sure to sign up early so you can get in the fast group, as spots are limited.
And finally, in the middle of October, a just-posted rally,
Silky's Central California BBQ Ride/Backyard Campout, runs for one day only, Saturday the 16th. Clutches go out at 10:00 a.m. sharp, so be sure to get there early. Backyard camping is free, though if sustenance is your goal, for a nominal charge of $10 you'll get some home-cooked bbq. Continental breakfast will be available Sunday before everyone heads out.
Have you never been to a rally? Do you instead lurk on the board, posting on hot topics such as politics chock full of arm-chair debating, and write how you just had a great ride, but gosh darnit, you can't go because you have pesky "responsibilities"?
Yes,
Lee, I'm talking about you.
Join one of our rallies! You're sure to have the time of your life, meet new friends, and it'll leave you wanting for more. Don't worry if you can't keep up: the important thing is to have fun! You can always come back next year and ride harder.
Come on out!
Edit: The Texas Nina Rally has been cancelled due to lack of interest. Please contact the host, CrazyTrain, if you have any questions.
